SUMMER WIGGLES & GIGGLES FOR GOD!
Kids love to wiggle and giggle! This Summer, we are going to
launch a great adventure for Kids (3 year olds through K; First
grade to 5th Grade) ! It s open to kids connected with Jordan Creek
and the friends of friends of those connected in some way with
Jordan Creek. Wiggles and Giggles for God is a way for kids to get
connected to God while "wiggling" (lots of action) and "giggling"
(lots of kid fun). Lots of the stories of the Bible involve action
and celebrating how great God is to us! That's what we are going to
do this summer and we want you to be a part!
The "trial" launch will be on
Monday, June
23rd and Tuesday, June 24th! (We have more scheduled, but
this will help us judge the response!). There are two time slots for
two age groupings, two days next to each other... so it is easy to
schedule:
10 AM to 12 Noon (Mon & Tues., June 23 & 24) - 3 year olds
through Kindergarteners
1 PM to 3 PM (Mon & Tues., June 23 &
24) - First Graders through 5th Graders
Fun, Action Songs, Music, Learning, Snacks, Adventure, Age
Appropriate.
Interested? Just drop me a line and save the date. Let me know how
many might be coming so we can be all prepared and over prepared!
Parent, Grandparent or Friend willing to help for 2 hours, let me
know that too! Snack prep, watching the kids wiggle & giggle.
Puppets and more. Or you can come and watch and relax! You will not
be in charge...just enjoy the hour and participate as you wish as we
wiggle and giggle for God!

MISSION:
Backpacks for Kids
On Sunday morning, we will be collecting the remainder of the
backpacks for delivery to Polk County Human Services on
Monday, June 2nd.
Thank you again for your kindness, compassion and generosity. Know
that you have helped to make a child's load a little easier to carry
during their journey through foster care.

Game!!!
Talk about a great time! We have ordered
more than 50 tickets for families and
friends of Jordan Creek to enjoy time
together at the Iowa Cubs game!

The tickets will be ordered on Thursday,
May 22 and will be available at the
church next week for you to pick up.

Beautify the Church! -
Want to help spruce up the grounds at Jordan Creek Church?
We are on a mission to get some plants in the ground to add color
and spring beauty to our church environment!
As a Spring/Summer Project, we would like to offer you the
opportunity to purchase these items in honor of someone, in
celebration of someone or a special event (birthday, anniversary,
adoption day) or in memory of someone. There will be a display set
up for the next few weeks that will include photos and the pricing
of each plant.
We will be planting within the next couple of weeks! Thanks to
everyone for supporting our "Beautify the Church" project!
Children's Choir at
Jordan Creek Church -
Jordan Creek Church is proud to announce that there
is now a children's choir. All children ages 2 years
through 6th graders invited to participate. Kids are
also encouraged to bring a friend.
We will be practicing the first and last Sunday of
the month at 10:10 AM in the 2-3 Sunday School /
24/7 room. We will have a performance of what we
have learned the first Sunday of the month during
the Children's Sermon.
We are very excited about this new opportunity for
our children to share in the worship experience of
Jordan Creek Church.

GOD’S KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION -
Our Children's Ministry department is “KIDS UNDER
CONSTRUCTION”. Our purpose at KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION is to
reach out to each child with the love of God and Jesus Christ and
help families build a spiritual foundation on which each child will
become a fully devoted follower of Christ. That is the business of
the Church…that is what every parent wants for their children…and
Jordan Creek Church and its teachers and volunteers are here to
demonstrate it and help God’s Kids to Grow in God! Building God’s
Kingdom one Kid at a time!
KIDS UNDER
CONSTRUCTION
currently offers Sunday Morning opportunities for Nursery through 6th
Grade from 9:15 to 10:15 each Sunday morning – just before the 10:30
AM Worship Service. Learn biblical truths and principles through
creative methods such as interactive drama skits, music, crafts,
games, video and audio instruction, all the while surrounded by
teachers and volunteers who care. Children also learn by observation
and modeling; therefore, loving volunteers who have been screened
and who are committed to the spiritual development of your child
staff each classroom.

Involved

Creek’s Children's Ministry has many volunteer positions available for people
to serve within their area of giftedness. Whether you enjoy "front
line" roles, such as teaching, or prefer to serve "behind the
scenes" in such positions such as getting the room ready or
contacting kids each week (especially those who are gone), your
commitment to our programs is vital to the spiritual growth of our
children.
Mommy & Me
Playgroup:
Mommy and Me has started at Jordan Creek Church. We meet the first
and third Thursday mornings of each month from 9:30
-
11:00 AM. Snacks are provided for Mommies and
little ones. Please join us for our next meeting on

New – Food Drive for Local Food Pantries -
Beginning in September we will be collecting non-perishable
food items the first Sunday of every month for local food pantries.
Please bring your items to the church and place them in the basket
in the entryway of the church. Thank you in advance for your
donations!
