MISSION:
Backpacks for Kids
Last Sunday, we introduced this Mission opportunity to JCC by
providing 25 backpacks for you to take and fill for children in
foster care. Thank you so much for your support on this Missional
Outreach! All 25 bags were taken last Sunday! Your kindness and
generosity is much appreciated! The lives of many foster children
will be touched and made a bit better by our willingness to reach
out!
On Sunday morning, MORE backpacks will be available for you to take,
fill with needed items and return to the church for delivery on May
31st to Polk County Human Services. While the backpacks alone are a
blessing to the children, additional items can be helpful in their
transition. Suggested items for each backpack include a new
hairbrush/comb and a toothbrush/paste. One of the following age
appropriate items are also needed to put inside each backpack: a
small, new stuffed animal, a travel game or a journal/pen.
Help make a child’s load a little easier to carry during their
journey through foster care.

Beautify the Church! -
Want to help spruce up the grounds at Jordan Creek Church? We are on
a mission to get some plants in the ground to add color and spring
beauty to our church environment!
As a Spring/Summer Project, we would like to offer you the
opportunity to purchase these items in honor of someone, in
celebration of someone or a special event (birthday, anniversary,
adoption day) or in memory of someone. There will be a display set
up for the next few weeks that will include photos and the pricing
of each plant.
We will be planting within the next couple of weeks! Thanks to
everyone for supporting our "Beautify the Church" project!

people into a dynamic Christian community
where they can connect - with God,

difference in our changing world."
Write
yourself into Jordan Creek Church's history by joining us on
Sunday, June 8th and Sunday, June 15th from

gatherings where we get acquainted, learn about Jordan Creek Church,

Jesus Christ: Grace...Growth...Gifts...Groups...Good
Stewardship.

Card & E-mail Shower for The Beyteins'
For the past many months, Tom and Collette Beytien have been on the
front lines as missionaries for God and for Jordan Creek Church.
Following God's call, Tom and Collette have been in South
Texas/Mexico area working with the Deaf School.
This Sunday, we are planning a "Card and Email Shower" to Tom and
Collette. There are cards on the Information Table for you to write
a quite note to Tom & Collette showing your support and to share
with them a small piece of HOME. Sometimes we need to remind those
who are on the front line that we support them in love and in
financial ways. It is tough at times being faithful to God's call,
especially in a place far away. But God provides faithfulness
through God's people. God allows us to be part of the Channel of
Blessing...God provides to us...and we pass it on to support God's
Work.
Checks can be given on Sunday and clearly marked: Tom and Collette
Beytien or Mexico Mission. Funds will be forwarded to them after
recording your contribution. Emails can be sent to Tom and Collette
at familyrenewal@yahoo.com.
How can you help? Send a card or email of support. Cards (and
checks) can be sent to:

1508 Franklin Ave
Chariton IA 50049
Emails can be sent to Tom and Collette at
familyrenewal@yahoo.com.
