Happy Mother's Day!
Worry. The word is part of
our life each day. We worry
about the economy, wars,
children, jobs and so much
more. Worry is so much a
part of us that it seems
normal. We often don’t even
recognize it when it
manifests itself in our life
and living....it is so
normal. This Sunday, we are
going to learn God’s advice
to take care of worry and
learn “circumstantial
contentment.” What do you
need to release to God? Are
you experiencing joy in the
Lord? Well this Sunday, we
are going to make it happen!
Worry has no place in our
faith and in our life! Let’s
get real! It all begins at
10:25 AM as we celebrate
that we can do all things
through Christ who gives us
strength. Let’s do real
Worship this Sunday...invite
someone who needs to deal
with worry to come with you!
MEMORIAL REMEMBRANCE
SUNDAY-MAY 25th WORSHIP SERVICE
The last Sunday of May, is traditionally the Sunday known as
Memorial Sunday. To date, Jordan Creek Church has not held a funeral
for a Church Member, however, a number of members have had loved
ones or friends who died. Some persons have lost friends and family
far away from West Des Moines and will not be able to physically be
present to honor them on Memorial Day Weekend, but here at Jordan
Creek Church, we want to provide an opportunity for you to honor and
pay tribute to them.
On Sunday, May 25th, during the Morning
Worship Service at 10:30 AM, we will remember and honor
loved ones who have passed away. Individuals or family members are
invited to be present on Sunday, May 25th and to come forward to
light a candle in memory of a loved one as their name is read.
Special prayers will be offered on that Sunday and a message by the
Pastor. This opportunity is being provided as a help to those who
would like to honor someone, but because of time or distance may not
be able to be physically present to offer a tribute, especially when
the person being honored may have lived so far away.
Forms are available at the Information Table for you to fill out, or
you can simply e-mail the name of the person/s to be remembered to
Beth at jcumc@jordancreekchurch.org
by Wednesday, May 21, 2008.
